Our Story
Visionary - Wayne Drye
Our company was founded by a visionary in the insurance marketplace, Wayne Drye. From humble beginnings in rural North Carolina, Wayne started serving the insurance needs of individuals in his early twenties. He would often train our company employees on the teachings of a Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) and the art of serving clients the way you would want to be treated.
Opportunity
In 1995, the Director of National Sales for World Insurance Association, Inc., Lew Holt, approached Wayne asking if he could start and lead a division of the company dedicated to serving the needs of private schools. He wanted to bring a “Fortune 500” approach to serving the private school marketplace. This approach meant bringing in specialists, specialty products, and expertise to help serve schools where they did not have the resources, know-how or ability to provide the very best.
The Start
We reached out to Malcom Cummings, who was the Executive Director for the Georgia Association of Christian Schools. Dr. Cummings helped guide us in learning exactly what made private schools different from most employers and what areas they needed help in. We sought out the wisdom and endorsements of dozens of state, regional, and national school associations to partner with thought leaders that could help us better serve the private school marketplace.
Today
We operate in all 50 states and serve clients around the globe. Our team members are widely renowned as thought leaders and experts in their fields as they serve on advisory boards for insurance carriers, technology partners, private school associations, and school leadership committees.
